Manuel Calanche, 49, passed away unexpectedly in Sandy, Utah, on Monday, May 25, 2026, from natural causes still being determined.
Jenny Sanabria, who identified Manuel as a sibling-in-law, organized a funeral fundraiser on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, to support a dignified farewell.
The fundraiser had raised $915 toward a $10,000 goal through 9 donations.
Manuel came from Venezuela and lived with spouse Jeanny Sanabria and two young children, ages 7 and 2.
Family members described Manuel as a dedicated loved one who worked in maintenance at the buildings where the family lived.
