Kevin Porter, a 29-year-old resident connected to the Harvey, Louisiana, community, died early Monday, May 25, 2026, after a single-vehicle crash in Lafourche Parish.
Louisiana State Police reported that the crash happened around 2 a.m. on Highway 308 near Valentine Drive.
Investigators said Porter traveled southbound in a 2010 Nissan Altima when the vehicle left the roadway to the right and hit a utility pole.
Emergency responders arrived and provided assistance, but officials pronounced Porter deceased at the scene.
