Amy Coon Remembered by Pleasant Hill and Strasburg Communities After Fatal Price Chopper Parking Lot Incident on May 25, 2026
Amy Coon, 45, of Strasburg, Missouri, died after a parking lot incident at the Price Chopper at 2101 N. State Route 7 Highway in Pleasant Hill on May 25, 2026.
Pleasant Hill officers responded after reports of danger outside the store and found multiple people involved at the scene.
Officials said a 16-year-old from Pleasant Hill also suffered injuries and remained in stable condition at a nearby hospital.
Authorities identified 27-year-old Allen Prince of Pleasant Hill as the suspect, and the Cass County Prosecutor’s Office filed serious charges connected to the incident.
Amy, a Pleasant Hill native and Pleasant Hill High School graduate, held deep ties to the community.
Family and friends remembered Amy as a loving parent, grandparent, sibling, child, and friend who brought warmth, loyalty, and care to many lives.
Investigators continue to review surveillance footage, witness statements, and physical evidence as the community mourns this sudden loss.
